Yep, my little sister Ruthie graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, CA. I drove from Lincoln, NE to
Denver, CO to catch a flight to Los Angeles, CA to drive up to Santa Barbara, CA to see my sister graduate high school.
The things I do!

Here's Ruthie in front of the Beach Side Restaraunt at Goleta Beach. We ate there before the Graduation - which
by the way started at 4 pm. Who has a graduation scheduled for the hottest part of the day? You know, Grandparents
can't handle heat and crappy high school speeches very well!

We got a great table outside. I love this restaraunt because of the location. It is right on the beach, and
if the wind blows a certain way, the smell of Sandspit Slough brings out the flavor in my Mahi Mahi.

Ruthie started busting open presents. The server had to come over and ask her to tone it down. Opening presents
is to Ruth as eating is to Cookie Monster - it gets a little crazy!

This paper bag was Grandpa E's decorative presentation. The handles on top make it easer to carry than ribbons
and bows!

Mmmm...Oysters Rockefeller!

Grandpa E and Jane. Look, you can see the ocean!

Mema's got the goods. I ended up eating all of that.

Mema and Ralph in front of the Beach Side.

Look out, Grandpa! She's on your starboard side!

With Graduation cake we always have to have one of these icky cake pictures. It all started when my sister Tammy
graduated. She had this Garfield cake and stuck her tongue out for a picture. The orange from Garfield mixed with
the black from its stripes, mixed with the blue from "Congradulations" written on the cake. When Tammy stuck it out
it was this Death Gray color. That hield the title of "Grossest Graduation Cake Eating Picture" for 20 years until this.
As you can see, Ruthie here has strings of spit and cake hanging off the roof of her mouth as she shows off her grad cake.
I shutter everytime I see this. For some reason it gives me the feeling of an oncoming yak. Congradulations, Ruthie!

A crane at Deveroux, just for the hell of it. Oh, look! It has a fish in its beak!
